Welcome to QRZen. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the website and services at qrzen.co (the “Service”), operated by PaidNow, LLC (“QRZen,” “we,” “us”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
QRZen lets you create QR codes. The Service includes:
- Free generation: anyone may generate and download static QR codes without an account.
- Free accounts: registered users may save up to five (5) QR codes to a personal dashboard.
- Pro subscription: paying subscribers get unlimited saved codes, dynamic QR codes (codes whose destination URL can be changed after the code is created), scan analytics, and the ability to add a logo to their codes.
- Pro+ subscription: in addition to all Pro features, Pro+ subscribers can create digital business cards — a public card page (qrzen.co/c/…) with their name, title, company, logo, photo, and contact links — and collect contact details that people choose to share back through the card’s exchange form (“lead capture”).
2. Accounts
You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account. You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
3. Subscriptions, Billing, and Cancellation
Pro and Pro+ subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or yearly basis through our payment processor, Stripe. Prices are shown at checkout and may change with notice; changes apply at your next renewal, never mid-cycle.
Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You may cancel at any time from your billing page. When you cancel, you keep your paid access until the end of the period you have paid for. No partial refunds are provided for unused time, except where required by law.
If a renewal payment fails and is not resolved, paid features (such as editing dynamic codes, viewing analytics, and editing business cards) are suspended. Dynamic QR codes and business cards you have already created will continue to redirect and load at their last saved state even if your subscription lapses — we will not break codes or cards you have printed or shared.
4. Acceptable Use
You may not use the Service to create QR codes, redirects, or business cards that point to or contain:
- phishing pages, malware, or content designed to deceive or harm;
- content that is illegal in your jurisdiction or ours;
- spam, fraud, or schemes that misrepresent who you are;
- content that infringes someone else’s intellectual property rights.
Because dynamic QR codes and business cards redirect or load through our domain, abuse harms every QRZen user. We may disable any redirect, code, card, or account that we reasonably believe violates this section, without prior notice. To report a malicious QR code or card, contact us at support@qrzen.co.
You also may not attempt to disrupt the Service, probe it for vulnerabilities without permission, scrape it at abusive volume, or circumvent free-tier limits (for example, by creating multiple accounts).
5. Your Content
You retain all rights to the URLs and text you encode in your QR codes, and to any images you upload (logos, profile photos, banners) and the information you put on a digital business card. You grant us the limited license needed to operate the Service: storing your codes, cards, and uploaded images, serving your redirects, publishing your business card page when you create one, and displaying your content back to you. We do not sell your content or use it for advertising.
You are solely responsible for the destinations your codes point to and the content you upload or publish, including keeping it lawful, accurate, and free of material you do not have the right to use.
6. Digital Business Cards and Lead Capture
If you create a digital business card, the information you put on it is published on a public page anyone with the link can view. If you enable the contact-exchange form and collect details that others choose to share with you, you are responsible for handling those contacts lawfully — you may contact them only for the purpose for which they shared their details, and you must honor any request to be removed. You may not use collected contacts for spam or sell them. QRZen provides the tool; you are the party responsible for the contacts you gather with it.
7. Service Availability and Changes
We aim to keep the Service — especially dynamic-code redirects and business card pages — available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. We may modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice. If we ever discontinue the Service entirely, we will provide at least 90 days’ notice so you can migrate printed dynamic codes and cards.
8. Intellectual Property
The QR codes you generate are yours to use for any lawful purpose, including commercial use. The QRZen name, site, design, and software are ours; these Terms do not grant you any rights to them.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free or uninterrupted.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, QRZen will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, or data, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months before the claim arose, or ten U.S. dollars ($10) if you have paid us nothing.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold QRZen harmless from claims arising out of your use of the Service, the destinations your QR codes point to, the content you publish on a business card, the contacts you collect, or your violation of these Terms.
12. Termination
You may stop using the Service or delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access for violation of these Terms. Sections 5, 6, and 9–13 survive termination.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Texas.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes we will notify account holders by email or an in-app notice at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.
