Our pricing philosophy
We do not paywall the basics. Generating a QR code, downloading it as PNG or SVG, using it commercially, and keeping it forever — all free, no signup, no watermark. We only charge when you ask the code to do something it cannot do on its own: change its destination after printing, track scans, carry a brand logo, or back a digital business card with lead capture.
No surprise upgrades, no scan caps designed to push you up a tier, no codes that quietly expire on you. Cancel anytime — your static codes keep working forever.

Static vs dynamic — what you are actually paying for
A static code has its destination encoded directly into the pixels of the image. It is a self-contained file. It works offline of our servers, it never expires, and we never see a scan happen. That is why it is free — there is nothing for us to host on your behalf.
A dynamic code encodes a short URL we manage, which then redirects to your real destination. You pay $2.99/mo because we are running that redirect for you, counting every scan, and letting you swap the destination at will — even after the code is printed on a thousand flyers. Pro+ at $5.99/mo is the same dynamic infrastructure plus a hosted mobile profile page and a consent-based lead form — what you need when the QR code is on a digital business card with lead capture and every scan is a person you want to remember.
Pricing questions
Will my QR code expire if I cancel?
Static QR codes never expire — the link is baked into the PNG or SVG file you downloaded, so it keeps working forever, even if you delete your QRZen account. Dynamic QR codes route through a short URL we host, so if you cancel a Pro or Pro+ subscription that short URL stops redirecting. Your printed code is not 'destroyed', it simply has nowhere to point. You can resubscribe and it works again.
Can I upgrade later?
Yes. You can start on Free and upgrade to Pro or Pro+ at any time from your dashboard — your saved codes carry over and become dynamic and editable the moment you upgrade. You can also switch between monthly and yearly billing, or downgrade, whenever you want.
Do free QR codes have watermarks?
No. Free codes have no QRZen logo, no watermark, no attribution. They are yours to use commercially — on products, packaging, business cards, signage, client work — without any branding from us.
What is the difference between Pro and Pro+?
Pro adds dynamic, editable QR codes and scan analytics on top of the free generator — that is the right tier for flyers, posters, menus, and product packaging. Pro+ adds the digital business card with lead capture, for people who hand out cards in person and want every scan to become a contact in their dashboard.
